ClickQuery helps you connect to Microsoft SQL Server

This FREE version of ClickQuery is a new tool designed to help you get data out of Microsoft SQL Server (any version) without having to know any SQL commands. You create queries using an intuituitive point-and-click interface - including the database(s), table(s), and column(s) you want. You can then set the sort order (single click), specify find criteria (including generating a pop-up menu of existing values that exist in the SQL database), and then "save" the query for future use. You can even password-protect your queries to keep unauthorized people from editing the query!

If you already know how to write a SQL query, you can use ClickQuery as a graphical browsing tool - to check column names, table names and then use that information to write your own query.

When you're ready to run your report - click the "execute" button, and your report will appear in HTML format inside your browser (Navigator and Explorer 3.0 or higher). You can then save the report and email it, open it in Excel, Word, or any other program that "understands" HTML. This tool supports both Mac and PC (not OS X yet - as FileMaker doesn't yet support the ODBC script step in their OS X version) - but you'll need to make sure you have an ODBC driver to connect to SQL Server on whatever platform you're using.

Because of the lack of availability of a Macintosh ODBC driver for SQL Server 7.x and 2000 - Mac users might not be able to use this tool. Please see our online documentation for more information about intallation, setup and use of this tool.

THIS VERSION OF ClickQuery REQUIRES FILEMAKER PRO 5.5 or higher and will not run on 4.x or 5.0.
